Sandpiper Golf Course, Virtual Reality
The Sandpiper Golf course is perched right on the coast just north of Santa Barbara and Goleta.
It's a beautiful spot any time, but sunset is especially gorgeous.

Under the Tree by the Coral Casino, Virtual Reality
I love the Butterfly beach area in Montecito.
When the tide is low you can walk all the way to Summerland in one direction,
and back to East beach in Santa Barbara in the other direction.
On the other hand when the tide is really high, or after a strong storm when
the sand is washed away you can't get much of a beach walk.
Thats when we like to walk along this walkway by the beach and watch the waves
and sunset.

El Paseo Restaurant Courtyard, Virtual Reality
This spot is a slecluded little courtyard
behind the El Paseo restaurant.
It's an amazing spot all around
but I really love the wonderful Mandeviiia vine.
It's got to be at least fourty years old.

Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Gardens, Virtual Reality
This is from just off the side of the sunken gardens
on the Anapamu street side. This is the VR view of

Chapel at the First Presbyterian Church, Santa Barbara, Virtual Reality
This is a wonderful little chapel
at the First Presbyterian Church
at State and Constance in Santa Barbara.
I pass this church often, and
I have tought many times about
how their stained glass must look
from the inside. Last week
I had the opportunity to take some
exterior shots of the church.
While I was wandering around
with my camera I was fortunate enough
to be invited inside by one of the kind
members of the church. He showed me around
the sanctuary, and pointed out this
beautiful chapel. It was very clear that
the beauty of this church is much more
than skin deep.

Santa Barbara Courthouse Figueroa Entrance, Virtual Reality
About a year ago I was working on a shoot of the Courthouse.
At the end of the day I wandered around the Figueroa
Street side, the side opposite the sunken gardens.
Because of the spectacular views from the gardens,
and the Anacapa side where the clocktower is, this
area does not get as much attention from photographers.
At the time of my original shot, the light was really
low and I was not really sure what I would get.
The resulting image was one of my favorites from
that day. Recently I found myself in the area again
at about the right time, so I thought I would
get a more complete view of the same spot.

Santa Barbara City College Evening, Virtual Reality
This little area out at the tip of the SBCC
mesa is one of the prettiest views in
Santa Barbara. You can see everything from
the harbor to the wharf and all of the beautiful
houses up the mountain on the other side of Santa
Barbara.

Point Pinos Lighthouse, VR
This beautiful little lighthouse apparently is the oldest confinuously operating lighthouse on
the west coast. It's on the northern tip of the Monterey pennisula
just in from a stretch of beach that is a wonderful spot to watch the sunset.

Pepper Tree Inn Virtual Tour
A beautiful spot on upper State Street in Santa Barbara,
this is the Best Western Pepper Tree Inn.
It was a great spot to do a tour. Be sure to look
around closely for the arrows to move around and see the rest of the
beautiful grounds.

Newburyport Massachusetts Sunset
Another hand-held shot from our
trip to Massachusetts. It was a beautiful
evening. So many brick buildings! Of course
that kind of architecture works in a place
where the ground doesn't shake under
your feet all the time.

Santa Barbara Historical Museum Virtual Tour
The Santa Barbara Historical Museum is a wonderful bit of history
right in the middle of town. Just waling through their courtyard is like stepping back in time.
And if you ever have the opportunity to be there in the evening the
experience is even more magical.
This is a tour of their courtyard. Not a tour in the way you would systematically
tour a commercial space for an online marketing campaign. But
this is just me wandering around looking for the angles that interest me.
If you click on the arrows on the ground you can wander aroud
the beautiful courtyard with me.

Moonlit Massachusetts Town Square
Recently we had the opportunity to spend a
few quick days touring New England.
This was a cute little town in Massachusetts
we stopped in long enough to have dinner
and snap a few photos. In an attempt to travel
light I did not take a tripod, so this was shot
totally hand-held. I was actually surprised
at how well it came out for as late as it was.
Hopefully we'll get back in the fall one year when the
leaves are doing their show.

Natural Cafe Virtual Tour
A beautiful restaurant with great food!
This is the Natural Cafe on Hitchcock
in Santa Barbara. This tour was taken
while I was there doing a shoot for
a magazine article on the Natural Cafe.
As long as I was shooting the interior
I thought I would have some fun with it.
Click and drag to view in any direction and
be sure to click on the arrows on the floor
to navigate around the restaurant!
