Wet Lime Blossoms

I had just finished watering the plants in our back yard. I love what water does to close-up pictures. And I love the small freckles on the blossoms, they are a little more translucent than the rest of the petals, and you can really see that with the back lighting.

Rangpur Blossom

This is a closeup of the same tree from a couple of days ago. The Blossoms are so beautiful I had to have a shot that focused on them too. Most of the blossoms are starting to dry and reveal their little limes inside.

Bouquet of Limes

Mmmmmmmmm LIMES!

We just got this dwarf citrus tree about two weeks ago. It was covered in blossoms. As they fell off it revealed these little limes. They are only about 3 millimeters long.

In reality this is a cross between a Mandarin Orange and a Lemon. It looks like a small orange when it is ripe, but it is tart like a lemon or a lime. Yummm I can't wait!
