Fourth of July fireworks over Santa Barbara California. This was early in the show, when there was just enough light left in the sky to see the horizon and for the long exposure to get the colors in the sky and the high clouds above the city.

Fire Palm

The fourth of July fireworks, last night, from one of my favorite locations high above Santa Barbara. I love the closer palm trees in the photo, and from this angle it almost looks like the fireworks are trying to immitate the palm trees. Fire palms.

Solstice Giraffes

Not too often you get to see giraffes walking down State Street. This is in honor of the upcoming Summer Solstice Celebration on the 25th. It is by far the best parade in Santa Barbara (or anywhere for that matter :) !
