Handmade Tavern Puzzle

One of the things I like to do in the rare occasion when I put my camera down is to tinker with puzzles. This is an interesting tavern puzzle, the challenge is to get the big ring off. I'm not sure if I have solved this one or not, I've solved most of mine. The challenge for my wife is to find puzzles that stump me. Now I have to go find the puzzle and try to solve it.
