Mission grounds, Santa Barbara, CA
Most of the mission shots you see don't give you an appreciation for the beautiful setting of the surrounding Mission grounds. The beautiful color in this photo is from the setting sun which was behind me to my right. Although the moisture in the atmosphere makes it hard to see where sky ends and sea begins, you can see hints of the outlines of the Channel Islands at the horizon.

| Hi Brandy, Yes I do! It is one of my favorite subjects. Especially in the rain. I have various images already on the Photo of the Day. These include outside shots that every one would recognise, as well as images of the gardens and even one of the kitchen inside the mission. I assume you are looking for an outside shot, so I added a new one today for you, one of my favorites... Twilight Mission Here is a list of the others...
And, I have one more image at my Greeting card site that is not on the Photo of the Day yet Mission Reflection Hope you enjoy them! -Bill Heller |
